Safe Escapes This Summer

Maureen's Thoughts:

It may be a bit harder to plan a trip outside of the U.S. this summer, but that just gives us all an opportunity to explore our beautiful country. Here are some things to consider when planning your 2020 summer getaway.

1) Fly or Drive? If you decide to fly, check current protocols like mandatory face masks and limited on board services.

2)
Destination: Popular destinations are Florida, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine Alaska, Montana, South Dakota, South Carolina and Texas.

3) Parks and Beaches: Target destinations with wide open spaces so you are not crowded. Many of the National Parks have reopened, but there may be time restrictions and limited access to gift shops, restaurants and camping. Maureen's favorite destinations for parks and beaches are Colorado, Hawaii and North Carolina.

4) Hotel Layout: Don't expect hotel pools and gyms to be open. Look for hotels that have in-room kitchenettes or nearby restaruants.

5) Do What You Love: Like any other trip, do what you love. If that is relaxing with a beautiful view or biking to wineries (like Maureen's picture below) we can make it happen.

Remember, we are here to help guide you through these new questions. Travel is not dead, it's just different.
